Himachal Pradesh Cricket team bowled out for a paltry 111 in their second innings and thus lost an important match against Hyderabad by 185-run in their Group C Ranji Trophy match at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association stadium Dharamshala. Himachal batsmen could face Hyderabad bowling attack for just 35.5 over.
After controlling match for three days, Himachal batsmen gifted match to Hyderabad. Himachal could hardly provide a fight in their second innings as they lost wicket regularly. Chasing 297, opener Prashant Chopra was the first to be dismissed in the sixth over by Naidu, Sangram Singh was second to depart on the team score of 30. Paras Dogra and Abhinav Bali tried to resurrect the inning, but they too failed to lift the team and on the score of 59 Bali failed to read the ball of star spinner Pragyan Ojha and gave catch to Sandeep. In the next ball debutant Maneik Mohil also failed to read the Ojha’s ball and left team’s score at 59 for 4.
Paras Dogra was highest run-getter for Himachal, he made 37, whereas Abhinav Bali-15, Aatish Bhalaik and Akshay Chauhan 12 and Vikramjeet Malik contributed 10 runs. In-form Rishi Dhawan and debutant Maneik Mohil bowled without scoring a run in the second inning.
Resuming at their overnight score of 319 for seven, Hyderabad declared their second innings at 355 for eight in 113.5 overs. Majeti Ravi Kiran (4 for 42), Alfred Absolem (2 for 27) and Pragyan Ojha (2 for 8), Pagadala Naidu (1 for 20) and Hanuma Vihari (one for 11) also accounted for one wicket each.
