In the murder of a 23-year-old girl Archana Mahajan, local court sent 28-year-old accused youth of Hamirpur arrested yesterday for five days police remand. Archana Mahajan, who hailed from Dulara village in Chamba district, was found murdered in her rented accommodation at Icchhi village on the outskirts of Kangra town.
Kangra Sub Divisional Police Officer Dinesh Kumar Sharma said that the accused had confessed that he had visited the Archana’s rented accommodation on January 11 last and strangulated her to death because she refused to accept his marriage offer. Chandresh revealed that he had been trying to persuade her for marriage for the past three years.
A 23 years old girl, working in a private sector company, was found dead in her rented accommodation at Itchi village.
