The Transport department and Urban Development Department has decided to accept the old note denomination of Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500 for recovery of all taxes till 24 November, 2016.
Transport Minister GS Bali said the transport department will accept the demonetized notes for registration fee, all type of taxes, token tax, special road tax, rents due for assets, transport departmental accommodation, shops and penalty etc.
Bali stated that the necessary direction have been issued to the departmental officers in this regard.
House Tax, rent and other payable taxes till 24 November, 2016
The Urban Development Department, also giving relief, has decided that all Urban Local Bodies of the State would accept the old note denomination of Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500 for recovery of House Tax, rent and other payable taxes till 24 November, 2016.
Director, Urban Development Dr. RK Purthi said the decision had been taken to avoid any inconvenience to the people. He said the ULBs would accept old notes till 24 November, 2016.
He urged the people of the urban areas to pay their taxes in the offices of the ULBs.
