The Himachal Pradesh Youth Congress President Vikramaditya Singh has rejected the Union Rail Budget and termed it as hollow and a budget for rich rather than poor.
In a press communiqué, Vikramaditya said that the Himachal Pradesh was ignored completely and not even a single project was considered in the Rail Budget.
Vikramaditya said that it was not a rail budget in favour of Government but a step to privatize the railways. He also believed that introduction of Bullet trains were not in the welfare of the common man.
Youth Congress president also accused the NDA government for partially treating the Himachal and even its all four MPs were failed to get any breather for the state even after their tall promises made during the parliamentary elections campaign.
Singh added that the people of Himachal Pradesh were cheated as BJP led NDA government ignoring the state’s rights.
Sitting example of powerful neighbor China, Vikramaditya said that on one hand China was fast expanding its Road and Rail network along the borders of the State whereas the fact was being overlooked by both the state BJP leaders and the NDA. He pitched for the need to expand Bhanupalli-Bilaspur Manali-Leh rail-line from Defence point of view.
