To examine the anomalies for demarcation of Green Pockets in Shimla Planning Area, a meeting of the Committed constituted for the same was held here today under the Chairmanship of Urban Development and TCP Minister Sudhir Sharma.
It was resolved to constitute an internal Committee comprising of Town and Country Planner, Divisional Town Planning Office, Shimla, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Urban or his representative not below the rank of Naib Tehsildar, Divisional Forest Officer, Urban or his representative not below the ran of Assistant Conservator of Forest and Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Shimla or his representative who will physically inspect the sites of all the 17 Green Pockets of Shimla Planning Area to verify its physical and revenue boundaries to identify the existing residential an commercial localities. The Committee will mark the existing residential and commercial localities in the Green Pockets.
The Committee will submit its report by 30th June, 2014 which will be further examined at government level.
The meeting was attended by Tarun Shridhar, Principal Secretary-cum- Financial Commissioner, Revenue, R.D. Nazeem, Secretary, TCP, Sandeep Kumar, Director, TCP, Rajinder Chauhan, Town and Country Planner, Shimla and Satish Sharma, Assistant Town Planner.
