Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal presided over the ‘Prashasan Janta Ke Dwar Camp’ at Chowari in Chamba District today. He listened to the grievances of the public and directed the officers to ensure speedy redressal of the same. 500 applications were received and most of them were disposed off on the spot.
Chief Minister said that ‘Prashasan Janta Ke Dwar’ was an effort to provide an opportunity to the people of remote and far flung areas to interact with the district administration and get their problems redressed on the spot. He said that he himself was holding such camps across the State for the benefit of the public. He said that efforts were being made to provide relief to the people at their door steps so that they need not visit State head quarter wasting their time and resources for getting their grievances redressed. He appealed the people to participate in these camps and interact with the public representative and officers of the district administration.
Prof. Dhumal sanctioned Rs. 5 lacs for Bandmi-Mihanau road, Rs. 2 lac for constructing drains at Kakira Bazar, Kalu Ganj, Rs. 1 lac for development of village Chalma, Kakira, Kaswa, Ghatasni and Kunnu hatti panchayat, Rs. 10 thousand for treatment of Smt. Usha Devi of village Bhatka, Rs. 2 lac for constructing Pacca Path for Government Primary School Nadinala, Rs. 50000 medical assistance for Shri Anil Kumar of village Pagor and Rs. 4 lac for construction of four rooms in Government Primary School and Government High School Baneta. He also sanctioned Rs. 2000 for Smt. Nirmala for he husband’s treatment.
Chief Minister directed the officers of H.P. State Electricity Board to pay compensation of Rs. 3.16 lac to Makodu Ram of tehsil Bhatiyat employee of the board who became handicapped due to electric shock. Prof. Dhumal directed officers of the departments to dispose off grievances of the people immediately and intimate his office about the compliance. He assured the people of speedy action to solve their problems.
Dr. Sunil Choudhary, Deputy Commissioner, Chamba welcomed the Chief Minister. Renu Chadda, Kuldeep Pathania, MLA’s, Gandharv Singh, former MLA, Bhupender Chauhan, Chairman, APMC and President, District Chamba BJP, Santosh Thakur, Chairperson, Zila Parishad, Santosh Kumari, President, Nagar Panchayat, Kuldeep Sharma, Superintendent of Police and other senior officers of different departments were present among others on the occasion.
