APG Shimla University and Pearson Education Limited organized a Faculty Development Program 2014 at APG Shimla Campus to enrich the teachers with the knowledge.
Pearson is the UK’s largest awarding organisation, offering academic and vocational qualifications and training to schools, colleges, employers and other places of learning in the UK and internationally.
During the program, Professor David Faulknur (Co- Founder of Oxford Business School) emphasized to adopt innovative technologies to make students industry ready. He said that to attract the big companies for jobs now university will have to prepare its students with competency of tackling real life situations.
Prof Faulknur said that interesting lectures, hands-on lab sessions and relevant case studies were the necessary elements of a well-designed Management curriculum, yet it lacks an essential ingredient of ‘Experience’. He advised to adopt more practical manuals so that they can be take realistic business decisions and analyze the results of their actions.
