Kullu: The Himachal Lokhit Party (HLP) has announced to contest all four parliamentary seats in Himachal Pradesh in the forthcoming parliamentary elections.
After state working committee meeting of party here today, state spokesperson Mahender Nath Sofat said that the party would create a third front and hoping to capture anti-Congress and anti-BJP votes in the state.
Sofat revealed that HLP activists will launch a statewide campaign to aware of the electorates about the anti-common people policies like increased rates of electricity, recently installed faulty meters, increased bus fares, increase in taxes on commercial vehicles and other faulty policies for a common people.
Speaking about the strategy for the Lok Sabha elections, HLP leader said that party will seek a referendum by conducting over 100 public meetings to make final call on it. Party is likely to announce names during its foundation day in February.
In the meeting, HLP also targeted the Congress and the BJP and asked them to clear their stand about the corruption. HLP ask the Congress government and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh to clarify the corruption allegations levelled against him by the BJP by initiating an inquiry.
Party demanded CBI probe into the phone tapping, Pulse scam, alleged irregularities in HPCA and 108 ambulance of the previous government.
