Acting on the disciplinary ground, Himachal Lokhit Party (HLP) president Maheshwar Singh has relieved Khushi Ram Balnahta from all posts of the party and suspended him from the core-committee membership.

Maheshwar Singh, in his press communiqué, clarified that Balnahta was involved in anti party activities and reportedly working for weakening party cadre. He accused him for holding anti party meeting, misleading and instigating party leaders for leaving HLP. Maheshwar Singh believed that Balnahta was doing it on the behest of BJP.

Ex-MLA Khushi Ram Balnahta was holding posts of vice-president, party organizational in-charge and core committee member of HLP. He fought 2012 assembly election unsuccessfully from Kasumpti assembly constituency as HLP candidate, where he lost miserably to Congress candidate.
