Shimla: To prepare a state charter for the 2014 parliamentary election, the Himachal Pradesh CPM has elected a three member manifesto committee comprising senior party leaders Onkar Shad, Tikender Panwar and Kuldeep Singh.
In a press communiqué, CPM leader Tikender Singh Panwar revealed that the CPM, in a meeting at Shimla, entrusted state manifesto committee to prepare state charter in a period of 10 days. He stated that the party has decided to work with the slogan of elect CPM and strengthen the Left. The CPI will be taken along in the campaign, Panwar added.
To reach out to every nook of the state, the party will hold constituency level meetings. The party will work with the central slogan of “Reject Congress, Defeat BJP” and shall also raises the state issues in the campaign. The party will also expose the BJP and Congress in their ineptness in protecting the interests of the state. It’ll rack up the issues like the violation of section 118, benami transactions, rampant privatization of higher education and the opening of private universities in the state.
The party has declared its candidates Jagat Ram for Shimla and Kushal Bhardwaj for Mandi parliamentary.
