Chief Electoral Officer Narinder Chauhan said that Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls of three Vidhan Sabha Constituencies 2-Bharmour (ST), 21-Lahaul-Spiti (ST) and 68-Kinnaur (ST) had been completed with 1st January, 2013 as qualifying date and final photo electoral rolls had been published on 6th May, 2013.
He said that there were 1,36,810 registered voters in three Vidhan Sabha constituencies at the time of publication of draft of photo electoral rolls and 4,022 new voters were registered, 1,420 were deleted due to death/ migration/double registration etc. reasons during revision adding that there had been increase of 2,602 voters in the electoral rolls. He said that now there were 1,39,412 registered voters in the photo electoral rolls in these three assembly segments. He said that there were now 46,18,537 voters registered in all 68 assembly constituencies out of which 23,60,829 were male and 22,57,708 female voters with 1st January, 2013 as qualifying date and photo identity cards of all voters had been prepared.
He said that 14-Sulah assembly constituency had highest 87,929 electors and 21- Lahaul and Spiti (ST) assembly constituency had lowest 22,079 electors.
He said that revised photo electoral rolls were available of three assembly constituencies on all the polling booths with booth level officers, offices of district electoral officers/electoral registration officers/ assistant electoral registration officers for inspection.
