To stop the ongoing illegal mining in the Chakki riverbed, Congress party led state government is all set to stop it. To stop the illegal mining on the riverbed, special police force comprising 28 police personnel have started guarding the Chakki riverbed round-the-clock on seven identified points.
According to the police, the force had been deployed on seven places at Suliali, Kandwal, Nagabari, Chhatrolli, Tika Pail, Baari Khad and Tipri in Nurpur sub-division to keep a strict vigil on illegal mining in the riverbed.
To make it more effective the special police force would work in coordination with the Nurpur police and leave no chance for illegal mining in the riverbed. To check illegal mining, authorities’ also conducting surprise raids in the area and imposing heavy penalties on offenders.
