Spokesperson of the Election department corrected the vote percentage of Lahaul & Spiti Assembly Constituency to 74.97 percent. Earlier it was announced about 68 percent. As per the reports, 16425 electors out of 21910 electors exercised their franchise in Lahaul & Spiti Assembly Constituency, wherein 8073 were male and 8352 were female voters.
With the updated reports from Election department, a Shimla District poll percentage (69.85 %) is lowest in state. Shimla (Urban-Rural) (58.77 % & 59.23 % respectively) and Kasumpti assembly segments (60.11 %) were three lowest polled constituencies of state. Even far-flung tribal regions like Kinnaur (73.55 %), Lahaul & Spiti (74.97 %) and Bharmour (73.72 %), where transportation is a major problem and many of the election booths were approached by on foot only, performed better, as they come in huge number to exercise their franchise.
