A spokesman of the State Government said today that under project ‘Muskan’ 2010-11 launched by the Health Minister at Una on 14th August, 2010, a Training/workshop on Project under the Chairmanship of Health Minister had been scheduled on 18th May, 2011 at Health and Family Welfare Training Centre, Parimahal, Shimla so that Dental Surgeons and Dental Mechanics could provide better services to the beneficiaries under this project. This training will include clinical lecture/demonstration on Prosthodontics, he added.
He said that 70 dental clinics in Government Health Institutions providing this facility where Medical Officer (Dental) and Dental Mechanic were posted include H.P. Govt. Dental College Shimla and Dr. RPMC and Hospital, Tanda, District Kangra. He said a target of four Full Denture per clinic per month and 60 Full Denture per month by H.P. Govt. Dental College, Shimla is fixed and added that the target to provide full Denture in a year is 3000 and in three years is 10,000. Expenditure of 16,58,376 had been made till 11th April, 2011. He said that 1532 Full Denture and 404 Partial Denture has been delivered upto 10th May, 2011 and added that Rs. 20 lakh has been provided by the NRHM HP for Project Muskan for 2011-12.
