Himachal Pradesh government said that the state is setting up Rs100 crore “ultra modern fruit marketing yard” in Shimla, which promises to provide best marketing facilities to fruit growers, especially apple grower. The marketing yard will boast of cold storage facility for storing crop at controlled temperature and processing facility.
Marketing yard is dubbed as biggest one in the state and will benefit farmers and fruit growers of Kangra, Una, Hamirpur and Bilaspur districts. Besides, a highway connecting the proposed marketing yard with neighboring states would also be built.
