Under central rural sanitation program rupees 2.37 Lac was dispersed to five Mahila Mandal of Hamirpur block by local MLA Urmila Thakur. The award money given to Mahila Mandal Ropa of Majog Sultani, who secured first position, Nareli Mahila Mandal of GP Dai for second place, Dharna Masanda Mahial Mandal of GP Mati Tihra as third, Mahila Mandal Ropa of GP Jangal Ropa and Mahila Mandal Talasi Khurd of GP Dhanad were for fourth and fifth position respectively. She said that in the block ten gram panchyats have gained Nirmal panchayat award whereas yet 14 gram panchayat still need to work. She wished the active participation of women of Mahila Mandal to inspire people not to waste even dirty water. She added that this water also to be stored in tanks. She added that the ladies of Mahila Mandal must unit to make environment clean as well as to clean the drinking water sources of the villages. Urmil also shared the information regarding Doodh Ganga Yojna, CM Kanyadan Yojna and Health Card Yojna etc. She said that maximum peoples must adopt agriculture sector and the person those bring markable results in this sector are awarded by the government. Urmil also emphasized to make more self help groups, gain the benefit of government plans and become self dependent.
