The entire valley of Lahul and Manali is experiencing heavy to moderate snowfall for the last three days consecutively. Distt., headquarter Keylong recorded one feet of snow and is isolated from rest of the world. Bus services and private vehicles plying in the valley have come to the halt due to closure of the roads and snow blizzard. Famous hill station Manali is also blessed with heavy snowfall, making it a heaven on earth. Manali recorded one feet of snow and Solangnala, Kothi Palchan and other higher altitude places have experienced upto three feet of snow. Tourists who have thronged Manali are restricted to bazar only as other sight seeing places are all blocked. Distt., administration of Lahul and Manali have given an high alert to the people not to cross the avalanche prone areas and advises to follow safety measures, precautions, and weather conditions.
