Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that initial training programme of Zila Parishad, Chairmen, vice-Chairmen and members had been completed successfully. As many as 220 representatives of Zila Parishads of the State participated in the training programme. As per the work plan, all the Pradhans, and their deputy were being provided similar training at district and block level, besides the training to Panchayat Samitis members was being provided at PR training institutes of the State, said he. So far 8847 members of Gram Panchayats and 566 members of Panchayat Samitis had been provided training which includes 4280 women PRI members by incurring Rs. 1.42 crore.
All the remaining representatives of Gram Panchayats and Panchayat Samitis training will be conducted in end of May, 2011.
