Paonta: Mounting pressure on Cabinet Minister Anil Sharma, who’s son Aashray Sharma is contesting election on Congress ticket, to campaign for BJP candidate in Mandi Parliamentary constituency, Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has asked his Cabinet colleague to clarify his stand.
Jai Ram Thakur, while interecting with media at Paonta in Sirmour district on his way to campaign for BJP candidate in Uttarakhand, asked Anil Sharma to clarify his stand either campaign for BJP candidate or quit BJP led government in the state.
Anil Sharma son Aashrey Sharma and his father Sukh Ram has quit BJP to joined Congress party, which Sharma family had quit just before the 2017 assembly election. Anil Sharma had won assembly election from Mandi assembly constituency and was rewarded with cabinet ministry in the Jai Ram Government.
The CM said that Anil Sharma must clear the political cloud hovering over him on who would he campaign for – his son or BJP candidate – in Mandi. He made clear that if Anil Sharma campaign for Congress candidate, he will have to lose his Cabinet post and membership of the Himachal Pradesh assembly.
