Waknaghat/Solan: Bahra University, Shimla Hills, a leading Private University in Himachal Pradesh, organised a Blood Donation Camp at its Waknaghat campus.
Famous hospitals of Shimla, Kamla Nehru Hospital (KNH) and Deen Dayal Upadhaya Zonal Hospital provided medical facilities with their team of Doctor and supporting staff.
Students, faculty members and non-teaching staff of the Bahra University participated in this noble cause. A total of 124, including 58 students of the Department of Engineering, 12 students of Department of Management, 16 students of Department of Pharmacy, 10 students of Department of Hotel Management and 18 students of Department of Law become part of this benevolent activity.
Prior to the blood donation, every donor were medically examined by the doctors. Donors were also awarded with certificate.
The program continued for the whole day.
Earlier, Vice-Chancellor, Bahra University Prof. (Dr.) Daljit Singh inaugurated the Blood Donation Camp. Speaking on the occasion Vice-Chancellor hailed active participation of students and also thanked donors.
Registrar Prof S.V. Bhardwaj, Dean Management Suresh Kumar, Dean of Pharmacy Prof. (Dr.) Ranjeet Singh, Head of all Departments, Deputy Registrar Hitender Chandel and faculty members were also present at the occasion.
