Congress Mandi parliamentary candidate Pratibha Singh on Thursday filed her nomination. Most of Congress leaders of Mandi Parliamentary accompanied Pratibha on the occasion.
While addressing the supporters, Pratibha Singh dismissed the Modi wave in the state and claimed that media created hype will be burst on May 16. She believed that people of the state will vote for the development.
Detailing out her priority, Singh promised for the expanding the railway network in Himachal Pradesh. She admitted that rail network is lagging behind in Himachal as comparison to the other states. She claimed that she had raised the issue in Parliament several times and now she promised to expedite it.
Pratibha is sitting MP from Mandi LS Segment, earlier in 2013 seat was vacated by her husband Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh after electing to be the Chief Minister of the state and Pratibha had trounced BJP challenge with huge margin.
This time again, Congress supporters are hoping to retain this seat with huge margin. BJP has fielded Ram Swaroop Sharma from Mandi parliamentary, who is contesting his first election.
