Shimla: State BJP bracing up its all functioning for the forthcoming Lok Sabha election schedule to held mid next year. To ensure active participation from every party activist, state party is holding meetings of its all wings and preparing roadmap for the election.

To brace up this section of the society of the State, BJP’s executive meeting of the Scheduled Caste Morcha held here today, which was attended by Former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition Prem Kumar Dhumal, state party president Satpal Singh Satti, Ramesh Chander Ratan, general secretary, National Scheduled Castes Morcha and other office bearers.

Senior party leader and Leader of the Opposition Prem Kumar Dhumal accused Congress for treating SC’s as a vote bank only and hadn’t done anything for them. He claimed that the BJP has always taken several welfare measures for this section of society.

He said while the BJP was in power in Himachal, several steps like the construction of an Ambedkar Bhawan in every constituency, scholarships for students from the reserved category and allocation of 25 per cent of the funds for welfare schemes for the Scheduled Castes were taken.

Speaking on the occasion, state BJP chief Satpal Singh Satti reiterated his party’s commitment towards protecting the interests of the Scheduled Castes and said in future too his party would work towards their welfare.

In the meeting, BJP leaders and its SC Morcha also prepared road-map and further course of action for the forthcoming general election. Most of participant gave their suggestions.
