G.S. Bali, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister said that Rs. 50 crore would be spent to construct a modern bus stand at Hamirpur and commercial complex would be established in the premises of present bus stand and master plan was being prepared for the same. He said it while presiding over the district-level Independence Day function at Hamirpur.
Bali said that Mukhya Mantri Swarojgar Parivahan Yojna would be launched for providing avenues of self employment to the unemployed youth of the State. He said that from Hamirpur to Amritsar a special Baba Balak Nath Golden Temple bus service would be started.
Rajender Rana, MLA, Prem Kaushal, Chairman, Agriculture Produce Samiti, R.C. Dogra, Director, HIMFED, Deepak Sharma, Spokesman, State Congress Committee, Sunil Bitu, General Secretary, Kuldeep Pathania and Manjeet Dogra, former MLAs, Promila, Member of Women Commission, Naresh Thakur, District Congress President, Ashish Singhmar, Deputy Commissioner, senior officers and prominent persons of the district were also present on the occasion.
