Former Chief Minister and leader of opposition Prem Kumar Dhumal has again blamed state government for tapping his phone. While talking to press at Palampur, where along with other BJP leaders and office bearer he was to attend a state-level training camp of BJP delegates, Dhumal alleged that he generally heard a beep while attending his phone.
He also claimed that besides him, the phone of many other BJP leaders from the state was being tapped in violation of the Telegraph Act.
The allegations of the former Chief Minister assume significance in view of the fact that the present government has been accusing him of getting the phones of Congress leaders tapped.
The Vigilance had already initiated an inquiry into phone tapping of about 1,100 people during the stint of the previous BJP government and even Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh had made clear to punish all those involved in it.
