The Himachal Pradesh government has appointed three new chairman and vice-chairman while shifted Kewal Singh Pathania from Himachal Roadways Transport Corporation (HRTC) to Himachal State Forest Corporation.
Former Assembly Speaker Gangu Ram Musafir was appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh State Planning Board and Harbhajan Singh Bhajji, former Shimla legislature has been appointed vice-chairman of the HP State Water Board. Arki Congress leader Prakash Karat was appointed vice-chairman of the HP Small Saving Board.
These political appointments were made after the recent visit of chief minister Virbhadra Singh and Himachal Congress president Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu to Delhi, where they held talk with AICC general secretary and state party in-charge Ambika Soni to finalise the list of names to be appointed as chairman and vice-chairmen.
However, interesting to note that the additional names, suggested by Chief Minister, for political appointments are yet to get nod from the party high-command.
