Himachal Congress president Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu met Congress National president Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi and discussed the political scenario in the state with focus on the impending by-election to the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency.
Sukhu appraised Congress president about the prospects of the party for the by-election. He asked Gandhi to declare the party candidate at the earliest as geographical condition of Mandi parliamentary, which is second largest constituency in the country needs ample time to cover it.
HPCC president also apprised Gandhi about the functioning of the government and the party.
