Directorate of Higher Education Himachal Pradesh has asked all Govt. Sen. Sec. Schools to start Information Technology (IT) Education as an optional subject for the students of 9th to 12th classes from the ensuing academic session.
These courses will be on self-financing basis, through National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Chandigarh. Directorate of Higher Education has also directed schools to make use of ICT Lab/ CAL Lab for IT Education if Schools doesn’t have IT-Lab.
To meet the required trained staff, Education directorate has instructed to allow the IT faculty to join as per the agreement made between the NIELIT & individual concerned.
Directorate of Higher Education has also extended the last of admission for 11th and 12th slandered upto 10-05-2013 with late fee of Rs. 10. Directorate has directed all Govt Schools to issue necessary instruction to comply with the order.
