The Forest Department has removed illegal encroachments in Trehta forest range of Bharmour tribal subdivision in Chamba district. Department has even evicted well grown apple orchards raised by the encroachers on the forest land.

The Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF), Chamba, ARM Reddy said that so far department has evicted 66 encroachments from the forests land. He said that the campaign of removing the illegal encroachments from the forests was going on at war footing and forest officials had been directed to carry out their operation continuously without any interruption.
