Unhappy with the slow pace of investigation in the infamous phone-tapping issue, the Himachal Lokhit Party (HLP) going to pitch phone-tapping issue in Parliament with the help of non-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parties. HLP wants the issue to be debated by all parties in Parliament.
In this regard, HLP legislator Maheshwar Singh along with other party leaders Mahender Nath Sofat, Khushi Ram Balnatah, Babu Ram Mandyal and Dulo Ram met Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath in New Delhi. They are also making effort to bring the issue to the notice of other political parties including the Communist Party of India (Marxist), Samajwadi Party and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
HLP leaders are also mulling to meet Union Home Minister P Chidambram and Congress leader Digvijaya Singh to seek his intervention to bring to book those had been responsible for invading the privacy of individuals.
