HPCC president Virbhadra Singh stated that the Congress will approach the Election Commission (EC) for immediate enforcement of the model code of conduct for the Assembly poll to put an end to the blatant misuse of the state government machinery and resources for publicizing its achievements.
Virbhadra Singh said the BJP regime was squandering away government funds on false propaganda to meet its political aspirations. He further added that officers were working as agents of the BJP and misusing their position to please their political masters.
He said it was for the first time in the history of the state that employees were being asked to furnish affidavit to avail the benefits under the Assured Career Progression Scheme that they would not claim any arrears.
Virbhadra Singh sarcastically said that the BJP government, which had been baffled by the Congress August 29 rally, had been belatedly forced to announce the release of grade pay to employees, but claimed that BJP has no intention and funds to implement it.
