After the intense pressure from the senior party leader Virbhadra Singh, Congress party high-command has made changes in the poll bound congress committees and likely to appoint senior Congress leader Gangu Ram Musafir new working president of the party.
Virbhadra Singh was not happy with the working of HPCC Chief Kaul Singh and even challenged his commitment for the party many times in the past; therefore Singh has demanded to appoint working president to ensure the better and effective working in the election year. Now, Congress party chief Sonia Gandhi will take a final call on the appointment.
Party high-command has also bow to Virbhadra Singh’s demand for the important state election committee as Thakur Ram Lal is appointed a member of it as well. The party election committee is headed by party incharge Chaudhary Briender Singh and have important role to play in the naming party candidates for the election. Though, party high-command has acceded Virbhadra Singh’s few crucial demands, but still there is no word about naming party leader before the election result.
