Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal dedicated Regulated Fruit and Vegetable Marketing Yard constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.10 crore to the farmers and local consumers at Dharamshala. With this new facility farmers and fruit growers of Dharamshala, Mcleodganj, Sidhbari, Sheela, Sukkad, Yol, Khaniara, Sakoh, Chadi, Bandi and Gharoh would now be able to sell their produce in this marketing yard. The yard would consist of four shops, 8 residential rooms and offer other basic facilities to the producers and consumers alike, said he.
Chief Minister also inaugurated a Welfare building constructed at a cost of Rs. 62.20 lakh that will facilitate the organizing and coordinating of various welfare activities in the area. Later, the Chief Minister also inaugurated District Library building constructed at a cost of Rs. 69.52 lakh.
IPH Minister Ravinder Singh Ravi, Industries Minister Kishan Kapoor, Ramesh Dhawala, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister, Sarveen Chaudhary, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Vipan Parmar, Sanjay Chaudhary, Praveen Sharma, MLAs, Shreshta Koundal, Chairperson, Zila Parishad, senior officers of different departments and prominent people of the area were present on the occasion.
