Aiming to attract more youths to the party fold, grand old party Indian National Congress has started app-based membership drive.
Congress state spokesperson Sanjay Chauhan, in his press statement, revealed that Congress party has launched Android and iPhone based application that will enable smartphone users to become party member merely logging onto party’s website. Chauhan said
There is also an option in the application to take a selfie from his or her phone and submit it through online. It will very useful, especially for youths who are Internet savvy
Chauhan said application will enable anybody from any part of the country to become a member of Congress. He added that anyone can take the membership of the party till May 15, 2015.
Arch-rival BJP has claimed of enrolling highest numbers of party members with more then 10 crore memberships, which is even more then the Communist Party of China. BJP was using many different tactics like through mobile phones using a toll-free number, social media etc, for ensuing maximum membership and if we believes on party’s claims, BJP has succeed to edge pass its political opponents.
