In a day long tour to Shimla Rural Assembly constituency, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh laid foundation stones and inaugurates projects worth Rs. 120 crore.
The Chief Minister laid foundation stone of PHC Buildng at Nehra in Sub-Tehsil Dhami to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.75 crore and Health Sub Centre Bamot in Sub-Tehsil Dhami to be built at a cost of Rs. 24 lakh. He also laid foundation stone of additional block of Government Senior Secondary School, Dargi to be constructed at a cost of rupees 1.75 crore.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated new 4.5 Kms Nahewat-Nayaser link road at Pahal constructed at a cost of Rs. 70 lakh, newly constructed Panchayat Bhawan building of Gram Panchayat, Pahal constructed at cost of Rs. 6.50 lakh, pre-Stressed Concrete bridge over Sainj rivulet at Dargi completed at a cost of Rs 1.76 crore, additional block of Primary School, Bychari to cost Rs. 5.30 Lakh and Rs 5.40 lakh Gram Panchayat building at Bychari.
The Chief Minister, while addressing Public meetings at Pahal and Bychari, said that the Government had undertaken works worth crores in Shimla Rural segment. He advised the people to adopt off season vegetable cultivation and floriculture in the area and urged to construct Check-dams storing water which will no-doubt add to the economy of the people.
State Youth Congress President Vikramaditya Singh, in his address, urged Chief Minister to get early completion of the Cricket Stadium at Katasani which would be one of the best cricket stadiums of the State with International standards.
Dinesh Malhotra, Deputy Commissioner, Shimla, D.W. Negi, Superintendent of Police and Pradhans of various Gram Panchayats and senior officers of the district were also present on the occasion.
