Himachal Pradesh Governor Urmila Singh and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh congratulated the Indian child rights activist Kailash Satyarthi on being awarded with Nobel Peace Prize for 2014 for his tireless efforts for rescuing children from forced labour and promoting their rights.
In his felicitation message, Chief Minister said that Satyarthi was the right man and deserved the award for his crusade for understanding the plight of millions of children.
Singh said that Satyarthi was great follower of Mahatma Gandhi and deserved kudos for running a NGO, ‘Bachapan Bachao Andolan’ and urged everyone to support his NGO and come forward to protect the rights of the children and shaping their destiny for better.
Virbhadra Singh said that the more such NGOs should come forward to extend helping hand to the orphan and together we can make a difference and support the cause of Satyarthi.
