Senior BJP leader from Himachal Pradesh JP Nadda gets another elevation in the party as he has been included in the powerful 12-member Parliamentary Board and Central Election Committee of the party chaired by Amit Shah.
Amit Shah, party national president, was named president of the Parliamentary Board and Central Election Committee, while JP Nadda along with Narendra Modi, PM, Rajnath Singh, former party national president and Home Minister, Arun Jaitley, Finance Minister, Sushma Swaraj, Foreign Minister, Venkaiah Naidu, Nitin Gadkari, Anant Kumar, Thawarchand Gehlot, Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Ramlal would be its members.
The 15 members Central Election Committee include Narendra Modi, Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj, Venkaiah Naidu, Nitin Gadkari, Anant Kumar, Thawarchand Gehlot, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, JP Nadda, Ramlal, Jual Oram, Syed Shahnawaz Hussain and Vijaya Rahatkar.
However, surprisingly, the National BJP has dropped its patriarchs LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Atal Bihari Vajpayee from the Parliamentary Board and created a separate body for party veterans and has called it the Marg Darshak Mandal. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Home Minister Rajanth Singh have been included in this body.
