Dhumal, in his press communiqué, stated that the results showed people were fed up with the Congress and the Modi factor had worked in favour of the party.
Other party leaders, Former Rajya Sabha MP and Shimla MLA Suresh Bharadwaj, former cabinet ministers Dr. Rajeev Bindal, Narinder Bragta, Mahender Thakur, jai Ram Thakur, party state vice-president Ram Swaroop Sharma, party leader Vipin Parmar, Randhir Sharma, party spokesman Ganesh Dutt, Praveen Sharma, Kripal Singh Parmar, Kapin Sood also hailed the poll verdict and stated that the electorates had given a clear verdict totally rejecting the Congress.
Rajeev Bindal believed that electorates of four states had started to make Congress and corruption free India. He asked party workers to gear up for the forthcoming General Election and urged them to work profusely to ensure BJP victory in the election.
BJP leaders stated that electorates had rejected Congress and outright victory in assembly elections proves it. They said that Congress led UPA Govt has made complete mess and believed that electorates found BJP as the only credible alternative to steer the country out of present mess.
