The Chief Minister’s Relief Fund has been a boon to the poor patients during their hour of distress and suffering. Many Public and Private Agencies and organizations are coming forward to donate for the noble cause for mitigating the suffering of poor and the needy patients.
Since January, 2013 more than 190 needy have been provided relief worth Rs 1.85 crore for treating various ailments at IGMC Shimla, besides many were provided financial assistance for treatment at other hospitals within and outside the State.
The present State Government claimed that they were committed for welfare of every section of the society and to provide succor to the poor and the under privileged. Fervent appeals were being made to the people, big business houses, and organizations, both public and private, for contributing generously towards the Chief Minister Relief Fund and surprisingly large number of people and organizations came forward to contribute for the noble cause for mitigating the suffering of poor and less privileged.
