Taking a serious note on unauthorized encroachments in Bilaspur town, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has directed the administration for legal action against all such encroachments.

Chief Minister, while on his way to Mandi, today expressed deep concern over the cases of illegal encroachments and directed the Deputy Commissioner of Bilaspur on the spot to remove all the encroachments in the town.

Earlier, Virbhadra Singh was given a rousing welcome at Bilaspur by the people. He was received by the local MLA Bambar Thakur and senior officers of the district administration.

The Chief Minister later arrived at Mandi where he was welcomed by Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anil Sharma and District Congress President Puran Chand Thakur along-with other senior leaders.

Former MLA Tek Chand Dogra, Former Chief Parliamentary Secretary Chet Ram Thakur, Chairman, APMC, Harinder Sen, Divisional Commissioner Onkar Sharma, SP R.S Negi, ADC Gopal Chand, ADM Pankaj Rai, Deputy Advocate General Tarun Pathak, other prominent people of the area and senior officers were also present on the occasion.
