Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today met AICC General Secretary and incharge, Party Affairs of Himachal Pradesh, Ambika Soni at New Delhi and apprised her about the losses the State had suffered due to untimely snow, rains, cloudbursts and landslips in various parts of the hill State.
The Chief Minister was scheduled to meet The UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Union Ministers during his visit to the National capital.
He said that though the State could not get due attention and was overshadowed by the Uttrakhand tragedy but the Central Government was aware of the losses the State had suffered due to natural disaster and had assured that adequate relief package would be made available immediately to the State as per assessment of the actual loss.
Various issues pertaining to the welfare of the State which also includes enhancing of industrial package would also be pursued with the concerned ministries so that entrepreneurs may be provided various sops and incentives to set industrial units in the State which would not only add to the economy but would also open gates of employment for the youth.
