Industries Minister Mukesh Agnihotri revealed that the Government of India has released an amount of Rs. 19.70 crore to the State as the Central Transport Subsidy.
Agnihotri said that he had met the Union Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma at New Delhi recently and had detailed discussion regarding strengthening industrial infrastructure in the State besides releasing Central Transport Subsidy to the State. He said that it was due to efforts of the Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and also due to his continuous pursuance that the Union Government has released the Central Transport Subsidy to the State.
Agnihotri said that Central Transport Subsidy would give a big boost to the industrial development in the State as the industrials would now be getting Transport Subsidy on transportation of raw materials as well as the furnished goods from the nearest designate railway head to the manufacturing units. He said that this would not only encourage industrial investment in the State but also ensure that the good manufactured are priced competitively in the market.
