To discuss the reasons for the defeat of the party in the Assembly elections, BJP is holding state-level review meeting at Una on January 3. Party state president Satpal Singh Satti said that all candidates who contested the elections and presidents of mandals have been invited to discuss the Assembly results in this meeting.
After the election results, both factions of party were blaming each other for the defeat of the party. It is assuming that the party poor show in Kangra district, where saffron party could secure only three seats out of fifteen, will be talking point in the meeting.
In the meeting we can hope for the firecrackers from both sides as both are blaming each other from the defeat. On one side Dhumal led faction believes that wrong choice of ticket in Kangra led to the defeat, whereas Shanta faction questions party performance in other district like Una, Mandi, Kullu and others where key leaders also lost the elections hindered the mission repeat.
It is learned that Former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and national vice-president of the BJP Shanta Kumar are not attending the meeting. Satti confirmed it and said that “We have not invited big leaders because grass-roots level workers may not speak frankly in their presence,”
