To begin investigations into the telephone recordings made by the CID during the previous BJP regime, the state government has constituted a three-member committee of forensic experts.

The committee will be headed by Visheshwar Sharma, Assistant Director, State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL), Junga and he will be assisted by Jagjit Singh and Rajat Chaudhary, both Scientific Officers at the SFSL. The team has been directed to complete investigations at the earliest and submit the report.

Earlier on 24th Dec new Govt had sealed the room containing the recording equipment after the complaints that a senior police officer was trying to delete the recordings made during the BJP regime. In this regard fingers were being pointed at certain police officials, who were close to the previous BJP regime. The seized material is at present stored at the SFSL, Junga.

The seized material is yet to examine and since the facility to retrieve the deleted recordings from the hard disc was not available in any of the laboratories, it is likely to sent outside the state.
