Horticulture Minister Narinder Bragta lashes out at his political opponent Rohit Thakur, after his unsavory statement on the Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal’s visit to Jubbal area. Former Congress MLA Rohit Thakur has terms Chief Minister’s Visit to the Jubbal area as a damp squib, however Bragta said that this shows his frustration as huge turnout at the public meeting had unnerved him.
Joining issue with the Congress leader, he said the misleading statement only betrayed the frustration of Thakur. If he was really concerned about the people and their sentiments, he should have come forward to welcome the Chief Minister by rising above political considerations for the development of the area. Bragta dared Thakur to tell the people what development the Congress had done while in power. He also take a gibe on Thakur as he said that in Congress regime only deforestation taken place and that had just mar the environment of the region.
Narinder Bragta alleged that during the Congress regime development works came to a standstill and the area became notorious for ruthless felling of trees. Now, when development was taking place, Rohit Thakur was issuing such baseless statements. Narinder Bragta termed the tour of the Chief Minister as a big boost for the development of the area and its people with inauguration of schemes worth crores of rupees.
