Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Jai Ram Thakur said here today that 45 day long basic training course would be conducted for the newly appointed Panchayat Sahayaks in Panchayati Raj Training Institute, Mashobra. He said that 66 Panchayat Sahayaks would participate in this training programme.
The Minister said that the Government had approved the appointment of Panchayat Sahayaks in 234 Gram Panchayats and added that the training course was mandatory for every Panchayat Sahayak so that they could perform their duties efficiently.
He said that training would be imparted to the participants covering various aspects of the Himachal Pradesh Panchayati Raj Act, Rules, Finance, Budget, Accounts, Taxation, schemes being implemented by the Government and various other duties falling under their purview.
