Solan District Congress Committee (DCC) took out a protest rally in Solan town demanding to accept the resignation of local MLA and Health Minister Rajeev Bindal.
Protest was led by DCC president Rahul Thakur, party leaders raised slogans against the government and blamed Dhumal led government for patronising corruption in the State. They took out a rally from the PWD guest house to the DC Office chowk and later sat on a dharna at the chowk.
Congress leaders also gave a memorandum to the Governor, which was handed over to the Deputy Commissioner, Solan. PCC general secretary Ramkumar Chowdhary, Nalagarh MLA Lakhwinder Rana, Arki BCC president Sanjay Awasthy, former MLA Krishan Mohini and many Congress workers took part in the rally.
