Himachal Pradesh Assembly witnessed heated scenes as opposition Congress accused Industries Minister Krishan Kapoor of trying to avoid replying to a question on the pulses scam.

Congress member Mukesh Agnihotri alleged that the minister was deliberately stretching the reply to the question regarding plan for sewerage system in Baddi-Barotiwala Industrial areas to avoid replying to the question pertaining to pulse scam, listed next in the list. Krishan Kapoor did not pay heed to the objection of Agnihotri and continued with his reply till the question hour ended.

After the Minister finished his reply to a question of Vinod Kumari Chandel (BJP) and started reading some papers in reply to supplementaries, Agnihotri alleged that Minister wasted the time of house to avoid the question on pulses as it could cause embarrassment to the government.

Intervening in the matter, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said the government did not want to hide anything and was ready for any discussion. Later the speaker said that the question hour was over and asked the Congress members to demand a separate discussion.
