After getting record 71,000 applications from all over the country for flats in Himachal, the Himachal Pradesh Urban Development Authority (HIMUDA) is now looking for the land. HIMUDA needs almost 26,000 bighas of land in around 60 different towns.

The application has come from the outside of the Himachal and Shimla is toping the chart with 8100 applications.
