Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has directed the Principal Resident Commissioner, New Delhi to make necessary arrangements for receiving and providing transport facilities to the people of the State who were being brought back from Iraq.
He has directed that the officials of the State Government should be present at the International Airport, New Delhi to receive the Himachalis. He asked the Principal Resident Commissioner to arrange their transportation, stay and food in New Delhi before they depart for their respective destinations.
Virbhadra Singh also directed HRTC authorities to arrange their transportation from New Delhi free of cost.
The Chief Minister had been in regular touch with the Union External Affairs Ministry for the safety and early return of the Himachalis from Iraq.
