Himachal BJP has challenged Virbhadra Singh for an open debate on the issue of development and achievement of the government in the past 16 months of rule in Himachal Pradesh.
In a press communiqué BJP State President Satpal Singh Satti said that Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh lamenting the dismissal of his government in his public speeches instead of harping of the fulfillment of his election promises and achievements.
Satti accused that subsidized ration has vanished from the Ration Depots forcing the common man to purchase the ration at a higher price. He dared Singh to detail out the beneficiaries under the Rajiv Gandhi Annyojna for the BPL.
BJP President also asked Singh to certify the number of youth benefiting from the much hyped Unemployment Allowance to the youth of Himachal Pradesh and how his Govt benefiting unemployed youth of the state. He said that Virbhadra Singh should explain to the public why this unemployment allowance was changed to the Skill Development Allowance.
He also dared CM to explain the steps taken by his Govt to curb corruption in the state. Satpal Singh Satti further claimed corruption in the state cannot be controlled by implicating opponents in false cases. The issue which is assuming the dimensions of an epidemic has to be tackled without bias and an honest effort to book the culprits has to be taken.
Satpal Singh Satti further said that BJP does not need the help of Article 356 to dismiss such a non performing government but the public of Himachal Pradesh would pressurize their respective MLA’s to help in formation of a more responsive and responsible BJP government under P.K. Dhumal after the route of Congress in the state on 16th May,2014.
